In letters to Byron J. Rees, 1907 February 3, 1916 May 27, 1917 March 5, Neilson is pleased to hear of Rees' progress; discusses the meaning of Boccaccio's "Il filistrato"; notes his forthcoming publications; discusses what courses at Harvard an unnamed student should persue; expresses pleasure that "Bonnell" will accept a school position. In a letter to the Riverside Press of Houghton Mifflin Company, 1907 July 3, and two undated notes, Neilson requests a proof of an Index with a copy to Francis Ward Chandler, and explains that he has sent the incorrect set of proofs for the Cambridge "Shakespeare."
